Messy Frosted Cake

I'm making my FIRST wedding cake next weekend and I am super excited about it! But since it's my first, I'm also a little nervous! With that said, I thought I would do a "practice" cake to see how messy frosting a cake would turn out. Not too bad! Actually, I'm pretty thrilled with how it turned out. The actual cake will be three tiers, with a burlap flower (like shown, but in brown) on it. Very simple, but very pretty. I can't wait to get started!

Golf Themed Groom's Cake

Alright! Here's what I was stressing about for the last week! My sister Kile married the love of her life, Chris this last Saturday. A wonderful wedding and reception! Earlier this year, after I made this cake , Kile asked me if I would be interested in making their groom's cake. Without any hesitation, I agreed. And then I decided to make her bachelorette cake too! I really struggled with this cake though...mostly in transporting it! By the time it arrived at the hotel, the bride fell off the cake completely, the golf cart was in shambles, and the alter was laying down. I carefully pieced it all back together...I was so glad to be done with it!
